Event Engine

What is it?

obii.mobi‘s Event Engine is a highly scalable and customisable mobile solution for the iPhone, iPod touch or iPad (but easily adaptable to other platforms too). Easily branded, intuitive to navigate, ample space or pages for your information, capable of text, links, news feeds, images, video, audio, social networking, and a search function, the Event Engine is sure to satisfy you, your event and its users.

The Event Engine has already proven its capability as the official iPhone application for the 17th Biennale of Sydney along with two other high-profile festivals in Sydney (that we’re not allowed to mention here).

Who is it for?

obii.mobi‘s Event Engine is for any type of event including festivals, promotional tours, ceremonies, parades, carnivals, conventions, conferences, open days, orientation weeks, parties, just to name a few. Regardless of whether your event is for one day, multiple days or an ongoing tour obii.mobi‘s Event Engine caters for them all.

The Event Engine adds value to your event by increasing the user’s satisfaction. Aside from providing comprehensive event information it also keeps the user engaged through the Engine’s social media tie-ins including Facebook, Twitter, blogs and more.

Events

The Event Engine’s navigation is always easy and intuitive. It enables all events to be viewed either as an overview or individually in detail. Event information can include multimedia content including images, video and audio.

Search

Events can be sorted as you wish – via predefined categories, ordered by different criteria, eg alphabetically, and/or a user searches using full keyword search functionality.

Share

At any point of the application the user is able to share information about a desired event(s). This includes sharing via Facebook, Twitter, SMS, Email or Flickr.

Venue locator

Provide users with venue locations, opening hours and address details. Show each venue and the user’s current location on Google Maps at the same time so the user knows how to get to the event.

Favourites

Users can create a collection of their favourite events which they can share with other people. It includes the events and their detailed information.

News

Keep the user up-to-date with the latest news from your end. Inform your user about event changes or updates, other events they may enjoy or for example, provide them with additional information pertaining to the event(s). Keep your audience engaged!

More

Include a sign-up form within your application. It may be for your monthly newsletter, to provide general information, to enter a competition or to have a mobile promotion (just to name a few examples). Ask us how to make your application even more exciting.
